The glasses are a bit dirty from being stored for all these years but are in otherwise excellent condition. The box is also a bit dusty, but still suitable for storing the glasses, as well as being a display item.

For Sale: Merry Mushroom Latch Hook Rug - Framed: SOLD

There is no way you lived through the seventies without knowing or at least seeing some Merry Mushroom piece in someone's kitchen.

I think the word "ubiquitous" is in order.

Pretty much every household had some piece somewhere:  a coffee pot, clock, canister set, cookware, post holders, glassware, placemats, cheese platter, silverware, towel rack, planters, perhaps even curtains (although curtains were more of a "finishing touch" to the MM look).

I imagine if you really wanted to, you could do your entire kitchen in Merry Mushroom, save for the appliances and furniture pieces.
Yep...we got it too...right over our kitchen door!
This was probably one of the most shining moments in Sears history.

They made and sold the Merry Mushroom line from 1970 to 1985 when the line was finally discontinued...a long, profitable reign whose line seemed to expand and extend from year to year.

Well...one more piece of the MM design that you occasionally see cropping up (no pun intended) is the Merry Mushroom latch hook rug kit.

Once completed, you could have your MM decorating your floor, right in front of your sink or oven.

Or...how about your wall?

Here's a MM latch hook rug that someone loved enough to frame.  It's currently available for $25.99, with free shipping!

This is a completed latchhook rug kit featuring a beautiful Merry Mushroom design. The rug has been framed in a solid wood frame, and it's all ready to hang on your wall. The entire piece measures about 26 inches tall and 20 inches wide. It's in very good vintage condition.

Free shipping.

For Sale: Vintage McCobb Inspired Mid Century Modern Desk Lamp - SOLD

When you love a designer from the mid-century, but you just don't have the funds to get the real thing, items that are "influenced" or "in the manor of" that designer can sometimes become rather attractive.

Case in point: this eye-catching not-McCobb desk lamp.  It looks rather similar to McCobb's model 2010 lamp, but I doubt very much that this is a McCobb...just done "in the manor" of McCobb.

It also doesn't cost $3600...the going price for the 2010!

Auction starts Thursday night, August 18th.

For Sale: Wegner Style Danish Modern Paper Rope Cord Folding Chair SOLD

I recently acquired this stunning Wegner-inspired corded paper rope folding chair.

The chair is in overall excellent condition.  There are a few marks on the wood from use, but it is still very sturdy and very structurally sound...and extremely comfortable.  And don't forget that classic Danish Modern look!

The twisted paper cord is in excellent shape.  I think the pictures show you just how stellar the rope's condition is.  There is one small spot on the seat area that's a bit brighter than the rest of the cord; I'm guessing it's due to fading; but it's still as strong as all the rest of the cord.

Chair is marked Made in Yugoslavia.

For Sale: Vintage MCM Plastic Sphere Terrarium on Stand - SOLD

I recently acquired this fantastic mid-century plastic terrarium.  Although it's yellowed a bit (nothing a can of spray paint couldn't cure), it's still in excellent condition.

For Sale: Beautiful Danish Modern Small Bookshelf Unit - SOLD

I love this book shelf!

Its small, compact size is perfect for storing (and even showing off) your books, CDs, DVDs and even magazines.  And the angled shelves are great for letting you see your titles without having to bend down all the time.  And that great MCM/Danish Modern look is wonderful.

I love this shelf so much, I actually have one in my home.  I've had mine for about 10 years and it's still in use, and still in incredible shape.  When I was able to get a second one, I figured that maybe someone out there could use one, too!

For Sale: Retro Tiki Conch Shell Brown Drip Glaze TV Lamp: SOLD

There was a time when TV lamps weren't just the decorative items they are today. When televisions first started appearing in homes, there were fears that the low light viewing would damage one's vision. But adding a bit of "ambient light" along with your TV would reduce the risk...hence, the birth of the TV lamp. (see a better history here).

Today, though, TV lamps are highly prized for both their small place in history, as well as the beautiful, decorative pieces they are.

This particular TV lamp for sale is done to resemble a conch shell, and glazed in a beautiful medium-brown glaze, with cream drip glaze accent.

The front of the lamp has a small pocket made to mimic the opening of an actual conch shell.  Perhaps this was meant to hold candy or even a small plant.

The lamp is rather large, measuring about 13 inches long! It's in fantastic condition...not a ding or chip on it! I took a picture of the lamp lit up to show you not only that it still works, but to also show how shiny and reflective the glaze is on the piece! The cord and light socket are in pretty nice condition as well.

I have seen a lot of TV lamps and tried to find one like this or similar online but have never seen or found like this. Don't miss out on a chance to pick up this very nice and possibly rare hard to find lamp while you can. This would look great in any retro, tiki, nautical or beach themed decor.

For Sale: Mid-Century Modern 3-Piece Chrome Candleholders by BMF: SOLD

Although somewhat common in Germany, these unique candle holders are a rather rare find here in the states.

These chrome candlestick holders are from BMF of Western Germany. This is their 3-piece Combi-Leuchter set, which includes 3 of the chrome candleholders, and 9 candles. This particular set I have available includes all 3 candle holders, but only 7 of the original red candles.

What first struck me about these was the gorgeous low-profile design...definitely mid-century, with its narrow pillar legs, geometric shape and anamorphic bridging between each holder.

What's even more impressive is that they can be stacked and combined with themselves to create a virtually infinite variety of combinations.

As I said, these are available overseas if you'd like more of them, but I'm unfortunately only offering this set of 3.

They are all in all excellent condition and come with their original boxes, as well as the 7 remaining red candles.

Free shipping.
