Some lamps are dainty, some are bold.  Some have clean lines, others are complex and angular.  Some make a statement with their simplicity...

...and then there's this lamp.

This is not a lamp for the faint of heart.

This is not so much a swag lamp as a statement.  Like its owner, it's big, bold, and beautiful.

This lamp has a gorgeously-shaped ceramic body, encasing a single tan-color fiberglass diffusing shade.  The main body of the lamp has an almost Moorish/Mediterranean look to it.  Its finish looks like it's been worn away over time, but this is the actual, original finish of the lamp...bits of orange (perhaps to mimic unpainted pottery) covered in "gold".  The crevices of the lamp are even finished with a brown patina to complete the  aged antique look.

Unlit, the lamp is quite impressive.  But lit up, it simply looks spectacular.

This swag lamp is a big, impressive piece sure to stand out and hold its own in the room.  It measures about 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide.  We re-wired it with all-new wiring from socket to plug, including an in-line on/off switch.  It's in excellent vintage condition.
