For Sale: Antique Cameron Cauterodyne Radio Frequency Cauterizer: $699.99

When most people see antique medical devices like this, they automatically think "quack medicine".

Well...this is NOT a quack medical device.

The Cauterodyne was designed to be a portable, plug-in wound and surgical cauterizer.  And, with its various tools and needles, could perform many surgical tasks, such as cauterizing wounds and blood vessels, micro-surgery and even hair removal(!).

This particular Cauterodyne I have available includes lots of the device's original accessories.  The parts are all stored in a "hidden" compartment...a pull-down drawer hidden inside the lid.

Of course, due to the age of this item, I do NOT recommend plugging it in or using it.  It is being offered solely as a collectible item.

Interesting blog found! Cool vintage ads!

While looking up something on the internet, I stumbled upon this rather interesting blog of vintage advertising.

I was especially intrigued by the old Hostess ads.  Take a quick look!

Sighting: Eames fabric

For anyone truly into Mid-Century Modern, you know that Charles and Ray Eames are synonymous with MCM design.

But did you know they also had their hand in designing fabric?

Here's a pic I found featuring a chair upholstered in one of their more famous patterns.

The pattern is still in production, but not cheap at over $100 a yard!

For Sale: C. Jere "Boy With Balloons" Metal Sculpture: $249.00

Here is a wonderful example of work from C. Jere.

This sculpture features a young boy, running with a string of balloons.  The piece is marked with the "C. Jere" nameplate and also shows the year of the piece (1969).

It's in overall fine condition and I believe it still has its original balloons, too.

From base to the highest balloon, the piece measures about 22 inches high.
